Scannable Crisping Sleeve
As many a wincing 14-year-old knows, Hot Pockets ARE really friggin' hot right out of the microwave. So we put our message of Irresistible Hotness where it mattered most: The Hot Pockets crisping sleeve.
Consumers could scan it to see this helpful warning video, because we’re grown up and responsible like that.
We also sold Nestlé on a whole web extension where the "Mmm, meat" guy from the TV spot is a velvet-voiced talk radio DJ obsessed with Hot Pockets' Irresistibly Hot ingredients. Hot Pockets ended up changing directions before we could produce it, but at least I still have this picture of a powerpoint slide:
After I presented the delicious bit of dialogue above, one lady came off mute to stammer something to the effect of, "Wow. That's... that's really vivid. You should, um, write romance novels or something."
I can't help but consider this to be somewhat of a career highlight, and can only assume she feels the same.
