Vicks DayQuil - Snapchat & Instagram Stories

Just because you don't have any time or money for social content doesn't mean you can't have fun. 

Like when Snapchat launched Story Ads and Vicks wanted in, friggin' ASAP. 

How friggin' ASAP? 

So friggin' ASAP there wasn't even time to re-cut the TV spot they wanted to run, which was probably a good thing because Snapchat and Instagram user "Stories" are basically just a series of short, crappy iPhone videos, so polished ads tend to stick out and get skipped. 

Which is why we shot and/or bought a series of short, crappy iPhone videos of our own. 

 

NYQUIL

NyQuil said we had to use pictures of people sleeping, which as client mandates go is pretty limiting. Or at least it would be, if we saw limits as anything other than opportunities for creative excellence, which we absolutely we do not. (See limits as limiting, I mean).
